Our commitment to Taiwan Studies in the World

Announcement
Poster:Post date:2016-07-07
One of NTUA’s sister schools, the Australian National University (ANU) has earned their internationally acclaiming reputation for their contribution to Taiwan studies. Their purpose to study Taiwan, not entirely out of academic research, shows the concern for understanding “one of Australia’s most important neighbors”. Due to the similarities of historical backgrounds, economic developments, the resilient nature of their people, the Australians know itself better by knowing Taiwan.

Dr. Hsin-tien Liao, head of MACAIS, dean of college of Humanities, had been teaching in ANU on Taiwanese Research Lecture from 2010-2013 (臺灣研究講座). He has been invited to teach ANU’s winter vacation course of Chinese Calligraphy annually after 2013. In 2016, the MOE grants subsidy for Dr. Liao’s p ANU Calligraphy course. We are happy to see the promising aspects of the friendly relationships solidified and the cultural exchanges furthered.
